Are You Effin' Kidding Me????????
Ron Cook of the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette has written a article stating that Terry Bradshaw's attacks on Ben Rothlisberger are rooted in jealousy. In other words, Bradshaw won four superbowls for the Steelers and Rothlisberger could surpass that. So since Bradshaw is worshipped so much in Pittsburgh maybe if he lobbies enough to get little Ben kicked out of Pittsburgh maybe his numbers will stay in tact.
Now y'all know I don't like Pittsburgh so OF COURSE I have some s*** to say about this one. I don't like Terry Bradshaw, I think he's an arrogant loud mouthed idiot. And I don't like little Ben either. I think he's one of the dumbest and arrogant players in the league when you talk about common sense. I think both are womanizers, although I don't believe (and I don't mind being corrected if I'm wrong) that Bradshaw was ever accused of rape, while little Ben has been accused TWICE - and that's just what we know about. I'm a firm believer that watching anything on Fox or its affiliates lowers the IQ, so I don't watch the Fox pre-game show and haven't heard Bradshaw's comments directly. So I have to go on what the writer says, which is that little Ben's suspension should have been upheld at six, he shouldn't have been riding a motorcyle without a helmet, if he (Bradshaw) owned the Steelers little Ben wouldn't be a Steeler anymore, that little Ben is an embarrassment . . . blah blah blah.
I know that little Ben admits that the "Big Ben" persona took over, he's a Christian but forgot that, he's sorry for what he's done, blah, blah, blah. And we are not to judge, that's for someone a whole lot bigger than us who makes the final judgement. But what's wrong with what Bradshaw is saying? Aren't most people saying the same thing? His conduct IS reprehensible. It IS an embarassment. The Steelers DID send a player who violated the league's drug policy packing but kept little Ben who IS serving a supsension for his extra curricular activities. Just like there ARE players in the Hall of Fame who were admitted drug addicts but Pete Rose can't get in? (I don't like him either but he should be in.)
Like I said what little Ben is accused of doing is only what WE know about. Only God and Ben know what all he's really done. And I hope he gets his life together just for the sake of anyone else he could possibly hurt, because a rape survivor will tell you it ain't nothing to play with and there is nothing defensible about it unless someone wants to prove that Ben is retarded or has some chromosomes missing.
And here's what I hate about Pittsburgh and their fans: Only in Pittsburgh would some raggedy a$$ reporter write a column like this. Comparing Bradshaw's so-called misdeeds to little Ben's. Comparing not attending Art Rooney's funeral, boycotting Pittsburgh for almost 20 years, attributing his actions to depression, being married and divorced three times and making jokes about it to Rothlisberger riding a motorcycle recklessly so that he gets himself and possbily others killed and being accused of rape not once but twice is why I've always said that most Pittsburgh fans have absolutely no class. They prove it everytime they come into Paul Brown Stadium. The Steelers as a whole are one of the most hated organizations in the league. Sure their accomplishments - on paper - can't be disputed. But because they always manage to do it with a seedy cast like Jerome Bettis who after retirement admited he faked an injury in 2000 to keep from being released, Heinz Ward who was voted the dirtiest player in the game by his peers (not to mention that his top lip is missing), Joey Porter whose offenses are too long to list, and now little Ben, and that's just who I can think of off the top of my head. Pittsburgh has a "winning isn't everything, it's the only thing" attitude. And it's a very sad example to present to our kids. Get it together Pittsburgh.
It's too bad we can't put astericks next to all those accomplishments. Eff the Steelers.
Meanwhile . . .
Dear Ines Sainz and the Jets:
Both of y'all were wrong. So there.
Best regards,
Leslie.
I'm thinking society is what it is. So, although a woman SHOULD be able to walk into a locker room full of men butt a$$ nekked and have nothing happen to her except maybe one of the nice boys to offer her a towel, that's not how the world works. So if you are a female reporter, why walk into a locker room full of football players (who by the way have been getting knocked around in the head for years and may be a couple of french fries short of a happy meal) dressed kind of hookerish and be surprised at their reaction? Why not just sprinkle fresh meat sauce on your boobies and walk into a tiger exhibit at the zoo? I'm not a feminist. Eff feminists. It is what it is. A good friend would have and maybe did say to you "Girl are you really going into a NFL locker room dressed like that?" But you figured you should be able to go anywhere dressed however you want. But you just can't. And NOW, you idiot, because of this you are going to have to spend years re-qualifying yourself as a journalist because folks won't take you seriously anymore. Not to mention you may have made it even harder for other female journalists to feel comfy entering a male pro sport locker room. I'm not saying it's fair. It just is what it is. And Jets, why? Just why? You're supposed to be adults, so grow the hell up. Enjoy sensitivity traning. Chumptastic.
Around the league, eff the Cowboys, the Jets, the Patriots, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Chad Ochocinco, the Vikings, Lorenzo (of course), back-up QB Tim Tebow, the Ravens, Bill Bellidick, Bill Cowher and for kicks the entire state of Tennessee.
A big fat "EFF YOU" to T.O. and here's why. This week this vaseline lipped, carrot chopping toothed bama suggested that if he and Ochocinco had skipped training camp and played as crappily as Brett Lorenze Favre did last week they would have been vilified by the press and that this is a black thing. I can't believe I'm coming to Lorenzo's defense on this. The reason, you stupid a$$hole, you would get deep-fried like a chicken wing in the press is crap like you and your boyfriend OchoTacoMeat spending more time on reality shows and trying to be divas on the field than you do trying to catch a pass . . . toaster glove. And I actually like you, but that don't mean I won't talk about you. Keep your a$$ on the field with the rest of your team this week instead of walking off before half-time. Spend more time in practice than on "The Twitter" and Facebook calling Jets players "Ren and Stimpy" (although that one was funny). YOU ARE NOT BACKING UP A MO-EFFIN THING YOU'VE BEEN SAYING YET so shut the hell up okay? We're supposed to listen to you play the race card? You have to be kidding.
My predictions this week: the Cowboys will be penalized 800 times for 9 million yards. Did you see the game Sunday night? It could happen. Someone on Tennesse's offensive line will take a pair of scissors to Troy Palamolou's hair, or at least a bottle of competing Paul Mitchell dandruff shampoo. I will clothesline TJ Houshmandzadeh today on 4th street. And finally, Bengals security will confiscate a spork from Ray Lewis before the game.
Good luck this week to my other favorite teams: the Bears, the Colts, the Packers, the Saints, the Panthers and the Redskins.
And of course: WHO EFFIN' DEY? We believe.
Love,
Leslie
